This policy explains what personal information Megha Bike Rental collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

1. This website

This site is a static website. It does not use cookies, does not run analytics or advertising trackers, and has no contact form — the contact links open your own WhatsApp, phone or email app. We do not collect any personal information from you simply for visiting it.

Note: the site loads a web font from Google Fonts. Your browser's IP address is visible to Google when that request is made. If you would rather avoid this, the font files can be hosted on this site instead — see the handover notes.

2. When you contact us on WhatsApp

Tapping a WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp with a pre-written message. Nothing is sent until you send it. Once you do, we receive your WhatsApp phone number, your profile name, and whatever you write to us. WhatsApp's own handling of your data is governed by its privacy policy, not ours.

2b. When you email us

If you write to us at meghabikerental@gmail.com we receive your email address, your name as it appears on the message, and whatever you send us. We keep that correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and to handle any booking that follows from it. Our mail is hosted by a third-party email provider, whose own privacy terms apply to how the message is stored in transit.

3. What we collect when you rent

Name, phone number and address
Driving licence details and a copy of the licence
Government photo ID details and a copy
Your local address or hotel, for delivery and collection
Rental dates, vehicle taken, and payment record

4. Why we collect it

To verify that you are legally entitled to ride the vehicle
To create and enforce the rental agreement
To contact you during the rental
To meet legal obligations, including responding to police or transport authority requests and handling traffic challans
To pursue recovery of a vehicle, or of costs for damage or fines

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only where necessary: with the police or transport authorities where required by law, with an insurer in the event of a claim, and with our payment provider where you pay online. TBD — list any other third party you use.

6. How long we keep it

Rental records and document copies are kept for TBD after the rental ends, so that fines, claims and disputes arising later can be handled. After that they are securely destroyed.

7. How it is stored

TBD — describe where records are held (paper file, phone, cloud storage) and what protects them.

8. Your rights

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted once we are no longer required to keep it. Contact us using the details below.

9. Children

Our service is not offered to anyone below the legal minimum age to hold a driving licence, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
